Grandisson Cup Final Tuesday 31st May 2016
The Otters retained the Grandisson Cup at Ottery St Mary against a well beaten Vikings second string.
A tentative start saw neither side really threaten and it was twenty minutes in before either keeper was called upon. Ten minutes later the Otters took the lead with a free header from a set piece. Two minutes before half time the lead was doubled after a neat through ball was dispatched past Dec Lines in the Vikings goal.
The second half was fifteen minutes old when the game ended as a contest with the lead now 4-0. Jake Sellick grabbed a consolation for Town as the Otters coasted home.
A disappointing end to an impressive season with this youthful side and its hoped that many will stay for another go next year and the management can bring in a bit of experience to guide the youngsters.
